Open call deadlines extended!

We’ve just extended the deadline to submit proposals for the 01SJ Biennial workshops and micro-grants.

The new deadline to submit proposals for workshops related to Green Prix and Out of the Garage, Into the World is March 29, 2010.

The extended deadline to submit proposals for micro-grants to participate in AbsoluteZER0 and Green Prix is April 14, 2010.

Thank you to all the artists who have already applied. We will be reviewing proposals as they are received, but we decided to extend the deadlines because we will be announcing additional open calls shortly and felt it was necessary to give everyone the opportunity to see the entire range of  calls available before any individual deadlines passed. More details will be posted soon!

Open Call posted for Future Films: Mobile Media Shorts

For the 2010 01SJ Biennial we are collaborating with SF Shorts: San Francisco International Festival of Short Films to issue an open call for 5-minute shorts interpreting the theme Build Your Own World that were shot using a cell phone, flip video camcorder, or other mobile media device. You can interpret this theme literally or figuratively, seriously or humorously to envision how mobile technology can contribute to positive social change. Selected films will be featured at both SF Shorts and the 2010 01SJ Biennial and cash prize is available for top selection.

And on that note, proposals for the workshops and micro-grants are starting to roll in. The workshop call ends on February 15th, and the micro-grants on March 8th, so you still have time to send in proposals!
