Are you a fashion designer, high tech designer, or an artist who has designs up your sleeve just waiting to get out? Then pour your talent into the inaugural Red Cross Wearable Art competition. The American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter is inviting artists to create wearable art that surrounds the “theme of emergency preparedness prevention and response for a show of art with a life-saving message.”

Designer Applications and Design Sketches or Design Plans are due February 19, 2010. Finalists will receive amazing perks including having their design presented at the Hero’s Celebration at the Santa Clara Marriott on May 8th.  The designers will also receive two tickets to the black-tie event and the finalist’s creations will walk the runways during San Francisco and San Jose Fashion weeks.
